About the Role

As CTO for Automotive, and part of the wider Senior Management Team, you will lead Summit’s technical vision and oversee all aspects of software product development.   Supporting the transition of platform technology and technical delivery into a consolidated CTO role you will report to the Managing Director of Summit Automotive leading a team of six direct reports, who head up Enterprise Architecture, Software Design, Software Delivery and Support teams (based predominantly out of Warwick but also Soho, London).

 

Both a tactical and strategic role, this position is critical to the success of this market leading proposition.  At a tactical level; governing the delivery of performance by managing the entire soft development life cycle through to delivery and support via agile methodologies.  Leading, coaching and development of people, ensuring successful delivery through high performing teams.  At a more strategic level; developing organisational and leadership structure, strategic technology development, managing third party integrations and partnerships and non-functional requirements.

Requirements

About you

As a senior strategic leader with a technical background and demonstrable software development leadership success, you will have been accountable for building large scale programmes of activity.  

 

Resilient, analytical and able to deal with ambiguity, with strong leadership, coaching and people development skills to harmonise teams within a start-up environment.  Comfortable with Waterfall and Agile delivery methods, ideally backed up with relevant qualifications, you will have experience of third party and offshore team management too.

 

Familiar with software development delivery targets associated with customer revenues, and the translation into measurable financial return, your ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment and bring a high level of strategy and governance into an evolving team, will allow you to excel in this role.
