DevOps Engineer

£35,000 - £45,000


Are you a DevOps Engineer, who wants to be part of a growing company where you can make your mark?  As a DevOps Engineer in Automotive you will be responsible for the implementation of CI & CD process and build of client environments in Microsoft Azure, or other public cloud providers like Google or AWS.   


Here at Summit, you will have the opportunity to significantly contribute to an exceptional business and help shape its future.  Working as part of a wider team, and contributing to the continuous improvement of DevOps, duties will include:  


  • Set up Git source code repositories for automotive platform development and client implementations
  • Build infrastructure as code on MS Azure using Terraform for various environments
  • Manage the continuous integration (CI) process using Composer, Docker and Azure DevOps pipelines
  • Manage the continuous deployment (CD) process into MS Azure using Kubernetes, Helm Charts and Azure DevOps pipelines
  • Automate end to end process from Infrastructure Build to CI/CD of application components for each environment
  • Contribute to the configuration management framework to set up Docker images accordingly to requirements of given environments
  • Set up and improve on performance and health check monitoring tools for various environments

Requirements

About You

 

With existing experience as a DevOps engineer for PHP (or similar) applications, you will be familiar with the software development life cycle, continuous improvement and agile / lean delivery models.  


Required technology stack includes:

·         PHP and Symfony or Symfony Flex

·         Composer and MySQL

·         Linux Bash Scripting

·         Docker, Kubernetes and Helm Charts

·         Git, VSTS Pipelines

·         Terraform and MS Azure (or equivalent)

·         Atlassian Tools – Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket


If you have the above experience and enjoy working in a fast-paced, demanding start-up environment, supporting company mission and team development, this could be the role for you.  


Analytical, logical with good problem solving skills, adept at communicating both internally and externally, you'll likely have had experience working with third party and offshore teams in the past.  The role is full time Monday to Friday and can be based from either or Warwick or London offices.  Please note there is a requirement to be on call for critical Issues.
