Are you a Senior Developer with exposure to Full-Stack who can engage and lead a new development team, working on the latest technologies here at Summit?
We think differently. We make the unbelievable happen. We are looking for people who are passionate about developing. It's an exciting time to join Summit as a Senior Full Stack Developer as we build out our technology capability within the UK, based out of our creative and spacious offices in East Yorkshire, with flexible working.
As specialists in online retailing, we’ve been using technology to drive better decision making and performance for leading retail brands since 2014 across our suite of products including Productcaster, Forecaster and Purchase Predictor that delivers record-breaking performance across our client's campaigns. Working as a Senior Full Stack Developer within our Marketing Technology team, you'll be responsible for the development and architecture of our market-leading, proprietary technology solutions for retailers, together with managing a newly created team of Developers.
We work with a number of technologies, tools and frameworks including but not limited to; C# .NET, NodeJS, Microsoft C# .Net Core, Azure, MSSQL, Docker and Kubernetes, Linux/Unix Bash, OAuth/OpenID, Microsoft Powershell and others. Reporting into the Tech Lead, the role involves not only development but also leading with architecture and technical design of the product. You will be hands-on designing and developing in-house marketing platforms, providing technical insight and coaching the team in a technical capacity. Ensuring a high level of engagement you will be key in guiding the team, providing strategic input and driving best practice.
About the Role
Ultimately responsible for the team's delivery of high quality .NET / NodeJS development work to Agile principles within agreed timescales, you'll thrive on implementing and improving solutions (based on NodeJS or C# .NET, Microsoft C# .Net Core, Azure, MSSQL), acting as a senior backend and front development lead and subject matter expert.
You'll manage and provide technical guidance to other team members and propose technical solutions, breaking down EPICs and estimates for the development team. Reviewing analysing and refactoring existing code and identify areas of improvements. Participating in daily and weekly meetings, as well as planning, estimation, grooming and review meetings, this is a full and challenging senior development and management role, working across our in-house marketing platforms.
Analytical, logical with good problem-solving skills, adept at communicating both internally and externally, your strong stakeholder management skills will allow you to liaise with Product Owners and client teams to identify the ideal technology solution.
Having worked within Agile frameworks previously you're ultimately an engaging Senior Developer who can inspire others and wants to make an impact, always striving for continuous improvement. As part of the product development lifecycle, we welcome ideas on how to make our technology products relevant to the market.
Previous experience with Microsoft Azure, Docker and Kubernetes/OAuth/OpenID, Microsoft Powershell and Linux/Unix bash is also beneficial. But above all what’s important is that you enjoy both inspiring and coaching a team, are able to work independently to timescales, and have good attention to detail; being able to read and understand technical documentation.
Experience within a management capacity previously is essential to ensure your successful coaching, mentoring and leading of the Development team from a technical perspective.
